How We Work as Professional Door Fitters?
I started My Door Fitters after years of fitting doors full-time for homeowners and landlords who needed reliable door installation in lived-in properties. Door fitting is what we do every day, not something added on to a list of services.
Most of our work involves internal and external door fitting in occupied homes, rental properties and managed buildings. That means turning up on time, working cleanly, and fitting doors so they open, close and lock properly once we leave.
Prices are agreed upfront based on the work involved. Measurements are checked carefully before fitting, and nothing is rushed. If a door needs adjusting, it’s adjusted. If something isn’t right, it’s dealt with there and then.
We don’t rely on guesswork, and we don’t leave problems behind for customers to fix later. The aim is simple: fit the door properly the first time and leave the property tidy once the job is finished.

Fire Doors and Safety Responsibilities
Some doors have safety responsibilities attached to them, particularly fire doors in flats, rental properties and managed buildings. We’re aware of when those standards apply and fit fire doors accordingly, including correct clearances, hinges, seals and hardware.
If a door needs to meet specific requirements, it’s fitted with that in mind. If it doesn’t, it’s treated as a standard door. Either way, the work is done properly and in line with how the door is intended to function.
